Our weekend

Monday, December 18th, 2006

After 7 days of a fever, 5 days of seeing the doctor. 4 days of blood draws, and 2 days of chest xrays it appears Trey is on the path to feeling better.  We are still waiting on some cultures that have been growing since Friday evening.  His last lab work showed numbers that he probably had a bacterial infection along with a viral.  All of his liver numbers are still doing great.  A big improvement is I can now sit Trey down for a few minutes without him crying.  Hopefully all this sickness will come to an end.

Trey’s third tooth poked through last Monday, the day before his 1st birthday.  I think he  has several more that will be following soon.  Prior to being sick he was walking 3-8 steps at a time and having so much fun with walking.  For over a week he hasn’t taken any steps but I am not going to worry it should come back to him.

Despite not feeling good we still held a small 1st birthday party for Trey over the weekend.  Both sets of Grandparents, Aunt Christa, Uncle Shane and Aunt Kelli were able to make it over and help us and the Girls celebrate with Trey.  After food and presents we watched the Nebraska Volleyball team prove that they are #1.  It would’ve been fun to have been there, but we still had good seats.  Trey wasn’t up for cake  on Saturday but on Sunday he did enjoy some of his own special cake.   Some of Trey’s cousins were sick and were not able to be with us, we hope they are feeling better.

Welcome to the new and improved Treys Transplant site

Tuesday, December 12th, 2006

One year ago today, we welcomed into our lives a beautiful baby boy and every day that has gone by, good and bad, we have thanked the Lord for that blessing.

As a birthday present to Trey we have decided to relaunch his website in this new format.  We hope that you like it.

The posting will be a mix of Jackie and Jeff and will just be general updates about Trey and the rest of our family as well.

Feel free to comment on anything you see here by filling in the form at the bottom of this page, check out the pictures (hopefully we can keep them better updated this time) and visit our friends’ sites if you’d like.

In any event, welcome to the new Treystransplant.com, we hope you enjoy your visit.

Jeff
