Amazing how fast a month goes…
Thursday, March 29th, 2007…when nothing happens.
Since the last update there hasn’t been much to report so we haven’t sat down to post much. Trey continues to do well after his last round of surgeries in January. He has been off of the thickened liquid and soft food diet now for a couple of weeks and so far we haven’t seen any signs that he is still aspirating or refluxing. That has made everyone’s life a whole lot easier, especially his.
We are also finally seeing his “liver numbers” begin to decrease as well. It seems that with the flus, viruses, infections and what all his numbers had been creeping up ever so steadily since November but, at last labs, they all fell closer to “normal” levels….which is a HUGE relief.
Trey has really begun to enjoy life. He no longer walks anywhere but instead chooses to run. Stairs too, he pitches a fit if he isn’t allowed to go up and down the stairs at least a couple times a day. One of his favorite activities lately has been to go outside and throw rocks. He was out one day with Jackie and she was moving some landscape rock around some bushes and now, everytime he’s outside, he heads over and moves his rocks around. It’s pretty funny to watch.
The girls are doing their normal routines. They both enjoy school very much. Just yesterday Anna went on a field trip to Pioneers Nature Center and had a blast. Emma recently had her “Progess Report” (we called them report cards) sent home and she has improved in almost every area but has done exceptionally well in reading. We are very proud of them both.
Not much else exciting has happened, which is a good thing most days. We hope to spend some time out camping this summer since we didnt get to go out at all last year and are looking forward to that. Also, in July, the Eagle Riders have a special presentation to give to Trey at their annual convention in Kearney and have asked us to join them for a day. That should definitly be a good time.
That’s about it from me, I’m sure Jackie will have something to add later on and I hope to get some new pictures up yet this week. Stay tuned…
