Trey is 21 months old
Friday, September 14th, 2007The days are going by so fast. We finally got caught back up at home, I went back to work and the girls are in school. Anna is in Kindergarten all day M-F, and Emma 2nd grade.
Since coming home from the hospital Trey has been having weekly labs. After the two blood transfusions he had his highest blood numbers ever. Despite taking Iron twice a day they are not remaining high. Every week his WBC, RBC, hemoglobin, hematocrit and platelet count keep dropping lower. His hemoglobin has worked its way back down to 9.7. At this point they aren’t sure why and we are waiting to see what step they want to take next. His AST and ALT (two liver numbers we watch) are in perfect range. That is great news!
Lately we’ve had lots of birthdays to celebrate. In August we celebrated Anna turning 5, both cousin Nate and cousin Carter celebrated number 1, aunt Tammy turned ????, and Great Grandpa Sackett celebrated 80! This week uncle Shane turned another year older and great aunt Marie celebrates 60 today!
Nate opened a t-shirt for his birthday that said I am the big brother. They surprised everyone. Congrats to Daren and Tracey who are expecting in March!
A couple weeks ago we visited the state fair. The kids were able to use all of their free stuff they earned through the library this summer. One day we got to go with grandpa and grandma Gulzow, Kelli, Rob, Mya and Carter. They all loved getting to hold the baby chicks.
We went camping last weekend with grandpa and grandma Buettner and the weather was perfect. All of us had a great time!
