Finally, an update!
Thursday, November 8th, 2007Finally, an update. How the days pass so quickly. It is hard to believe that on December 12 Trey will be turning 2. We thank God for every day that we have with him and the girls.
Trey is growing. He had his Synagis (RSV) shots on Monday and he weighed 28.1 lbs. He has also added some height and is almost out of all of his 12 month pants.
Trey finally had his 1st haircut this past Monday. It was hard to see the little baby curls go.
He is more active than ever and climbing on top of everything. He loves to be silly and laugh. He is still happiest when his sisters are around. He has adjusted well to them being in school. We get to play more one on one games, build towers with blocks and read books. He likes his chore of feeding the dog in the morning and he still likes to sweep the floor.
He was an old pro at trick or treating. He was dressed as Curious George the monkey and went around the neighborhood with the girls and cousin Katie. He walked right up to the houses and held out his bucket.
Labs…..we went to every other week and doubled his iron medicine. This has helped the hemoglobin and some other blood numbers. The part that worries me is that his platelet count continues to drop at every blood draw. It is still 103, no where close to 30 where he was his last hospital stay. Omaha called today to make sure hes getting his shots and I brought this to their attention. The coordinator said we won’t worry till it goes below 100. If it stays consistent that will be the next blood draw. She said to move him to monthly labs. We go to see his doctor here in Lincoln tomorrow and I am going to make sure she is comfortable with that and he also gets his flu shot and immunization that he is behind on.
